A new, fall cohort of the mentor-led L.I.F.E. (Living in Freedom Everyday) Recovery Class for Women began on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.  The class meets on Wednesdays via Zoom, 6:00pm-7:45pm PT/9:00pm-10:45pm ET.  Registration for this free class is open for late entrants until 11/6/2024.

The L.I.F.E. Recovery Class for Women is facilitated by a married Christian woman who is a trained mentor in the area of sexual betrayal, who has experienced both devastation and healing from it, and who has facilitated the content and curriculum in the L.I.F.E. Recovery Guide for Spouses now for four years.

This class incorporates guided curriculum, spiritual discipline, honesty and openness in a small group, and ongoing support in a safe setting for those women dealing with sexual betrayal. The ongoing support, critical to the process of healing, comes from the connection of lives through this small group, which involves open, transparent, and accountable sharing with other women in similar situations.

The L.I.F.E. Recovery Class for Spouses meets virtually via Zoom, with weekly lessons, individual homework and group discussion of the specific curriculum for approximately seven months. The curriculum of the L.I.F.E. Recovery Guide is based on seven principles, similar to the eight principles from Celebrate Recovery. The class would probably be best described as a CR “Step Study” specifically tailored to those women who have suffered the devastation of sexual betrayal.

Below is a summary of the syllabus for the L.I.F.E. Recovery Class for Women:

  • A time for grieving: We spend the first 7 weeks on just grieving all the losses associated with your spouses’ sexual addiction/unwanted sexual behaviors.
  • Principle one: Confronting Reality
  • Principle two: Finding the solution
  • Principle three: Telling the truth
  • Principle four: Growing in transformation
  • Principle five: Demonstrating real change
  • Principle six: Living in fellowship
  • Principle seven: Finding a purpose
